If you’d like to get the most out of your vacation bucks while visiting San Diego, check out SanDiego.com’s “Do Diego on a Dime!”

First off, they suggest siteseeing in Balboa Park, home to some of the most beautiful architecture and gardens in the city. Walking around the park for the day is a great way to experience the environment, and if you’re there on a Tuesday, you can even take advantage of free Tuesdays at the museums.

If you’d like to experience historic Dan Diego, take a walk through the Gaslamp Quarter and Old Town, all while window shopping and visiting the local art galleries.

For sporty types, you can also hit the beach for the day! If you pack a cooler full of things to lunch or snack on, you’ll save even more. There’s also snorkeling at La Jolla cove, exploring the Ocean Beach tide pools, kayaking in the San Diego Bay, and biking along the Bay in Coronado.

Whatever your vacation style may be, there’s always great things to do on the cheap in San Diego!
