Fellow bloggers over at the San Diego Traveler have put together a list of the top events in the city for St. Patrick’s Day. Whether you enjoy having brews with friends or attending a parade, there’s tons of Irish fun for everyone!

Take the whole family on March 15th to Balboa Park for the 28th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Festival and Parade, where you can enjoy everything from kid’s games to live entertainment on two stages. After the festival, be sure and check out all the great museums that the area also has to offer.

On March 16th, also in Balboa Park, the House of Ireland will be hosting Irish dancers from local dance schools for performances and will also be serving traditional Irish fare like soda bread and stew.

Last but not least, Happy St. Patty’s Day to all our readers!

I was very displeased with the go card. BEWARE: this card must be used in consecutive days. San diego go card did not explain this. Also beware that SeaWorld is not covered. I ended up using the card for one location (legoland) by the time I hit the zoo, I was told the card expired. Go Card said this was my fault and wouldn’t do anything about - poor customer service. I would avoid using this. There are enough coupons available when you arrive, all you have to do is look out for them.

    Hi John,
Sorry to hear you were unhappy with your Go San Diego Card. Some of our products are consecutive day cards because of how that tourism market works. The consecutive day use is explained on our Frequently Asked Questions pages and in the guidebook you received with your order. You’re correct that SeaWorld is not included with the Go San Diego Card, but we have over 55 other attractions included with the card, including Legoland (which you mentioned), the San Diego Zoo, Knott’s Soak City, and Belmont Park. I will forward your feedback onto Customer Service. Thanks for leaving a comment, and I hope you’ll try us again, perhaps in a different city!
    Susan
