The Hotel del Coronado Marks 200 Years

Our fellow blogger, Mary Jo over at the Fly Away Cafe, recently posted “200 Years at the Hotel del Coronado,” complete with her favorite times at the hotel.
You may recognize the beautiful building done in Queen Anne architecture from the movie Some Like It Hot, starring Marilyn Monroe, Jack Lemmon, and Tony Curtis. It has also hosted 11 U.S. Presidents, royalty, movie stars, sports stars, and other famous folks.
Even if it’s a bit too pricey to stay overnight, Mary Jo recommends taking the tour and having lunch or an ice cream sundae in such a beautiful setting. It’s a great way to experience the hotel’s past and toast to its future!
