The Museum of San Diego History interprets the colorful and diverse history of our region. Current exhibitions include: Belle Baranceanu: The Artist at Work. This exciting exhibition chronicles the life work of San Diego artist, Belle Baranceanu, featuring WPA era murals, paintings, prints, preparatory sketches and personal effects that provide a broad overview of the artist’s career and an inside look at her creative process; ROMP! A fun children’s interactive exhibition exploring the fascinating history of Balboa Park and its two Expositions; and Place of Promise: Stories of San Diego. This exhibition presents the history of San Diego through images, artifacts and oral histories from the Historical Society’s collection. The galleries will be expanding in the near future, so please call ahead for an up-to-date list of exhibitions.
